ARTIST IN EDUCATION: Bookmaking in the Schools

Louisa is thrilled to have the opportunity to visit several Ontario elementary schools in the 2012-2013 school year, to engage with students to create stories and hand-bound books. These projects involve story creation, illustration, calligraphy/lettering, paper decoration/marbling and bookbinding techniques. New this year, each class will record and produce an audiobook compilation of all the stories that are created by students. If you are a teacher in an elementary school in the Guelph area, interested in having your class engage in this project, please email info@lkbookbindery.ca for more information!
I am grateful for the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council.

The Ontario Arts Council is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
